Qualgen employees took part in the Riley Andrews Memorial Scholarship (R.A.M.S.) 6th Annual Golf Tournament on June 18 at the Rose Creek Golf Club in Edmond.

R.A.M.S. was created for Riley Andrews who tragically passed away due to influenza myocarditis on December 26, 2012.

“It was a successful day that benefitted a great cause and a wonderful family,” Nikki Good, Qualgen sales director, said. “We are grateful to be able to participate and help with events like this.”

The R.A.M.S. golf tournament, with the live and silent auction, is the primary source of funds for the foundation.

The foundation provides scholarships and sponsors young boys who have the desire to participate in sports but are unable to due to family hardships.

“We participated in the silent auction with Dr. Steven King,” Good said. “Together, we gave away a free first-time pellet implant service.”

Last year, with funds from the R.A.M.S. golf tournament over 50 kids in the area were able to purchase sporting equipment and pay for registrations. The foundation also handed out $15,000 in college scholarships.

“The Riley Andrews tournament is a great foundation,” Good said. “We look forward to participating in it again next year.”
